Vajracchedika Prajna-Paramita Sutra - The Diamond Sutra
- The world's earliest dated printed book (AD 868) containing over five
thousand Chinese characters and divided into 32 sections, the Diamond
Sutra is the perfection of wisdom. It is indispensable in the study of
Buddhism and a central document of the Zen way. A teaching from the Great
Buddha to Venerable Subhuti, 1250 Bhiksus and all who would listen and
learn, it is a profound philosophy for the cultivation of a perfect
religious life. The main theme of the Diamond Sutra can be
summarized into the following phases:
Give without clinging to any notion
Live without any attachment
Deliver all beings without the notion of a self
Cultivate without any expectation
Return to Alyta's Home
